Solutions Architect

Locations: Minneapolis | New York | Galway | US Remote | Germany | Barcelona | Portland


Assist in client opportunity assessment, including but not limited to: Review and analysis of IT infrastructure, Current localization processes and technologies (TMS, CAT Tools, ICR model), internal managed systems (CMS, DMS, ERP, HRM, etc.), authoring process and tools. Liaise with internal resources to identify optimal proposed solution based on technical infrastructure, best practices, and process optimization opportunities to facilitate seamless work process. Partner with sales and production resources to prepare, review, edit and present solution recommendation. The Solution Architect will work closely with internal departments to increase client win probability, align appropriate resources to ensure success, expand United Language Group solution strategy and visibility as an enterprise leader in the translation and localization industry.

Essential Duties + Responsibilities

• Represent ULG as subject matter expert in localization process optimization and best practices

• Provide technical support for global sales team via on-site and remote client meetings

• Deliver technical support during RFP process to understand and communicate ULG capabilities

• Understand and document client localization processes during initial sales discovery

• Support cross-functional sales team in identifying best practices during sales engagement

• Engage internal and external technical resources to align technical solution

• Prepare queries and write proposals during the solution development phase of new opportunities

• Understand and align ULG technology stack to optimize localization process

• Document repeatable solutions and processes for future re-use across selling team

• Compile, organize, and document proposed client solution

• Partner with sales to present final client solution during sales engagement process

• Track technical documentation associated with client wins and losses in company CRM

• Identify, analyze, and engage potential technical partners to optimize ULG solutions

• Proactively suggest opportunities for internal process optimization

• Participate in internal and external meetings necessary to advance sales process toward close

• Research existing technology solutions and follow the latest trends and developments in the localization industry

• Analyze potential benefits of emerging technologies to everyday business and assess usability within ULG

• Identify and propose strategic improvements to tools, processes, and workflows to optimize day-to-day delivery

• Attend trade shows, speak at conferences, and maintain a visible presence through social platforms to maintain visibility around ULG as a technical thought-leader

Education, Experience + Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of direct localization/translation experience preferred

• Solid understanding of localization solutions, technologies and processes (CAT, TMS, MT solutions, etc.)

• Technical proficiency in content-related solutions and systems (CMS, DMS, ERP, HRMS, etc.)

• Experience in digital marketing and technical publications process optimization

• Top-notch verbal, written, and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task to drive projects toward completion in parallel
